The Rock With 10,000 Metal Moons

The Rock With 10,000 Metal Moons PROMO.jpg

Earth’s largest natural satellite, or moon, is, well, the moon. But over the last 50 years we’ve put thousands of smaller man-made satellites in orbit much closer to home. What’s their purpose? You’d probably be surprised! Join Standley Lake Stargazing as we discuss the wide range of applications of artificial satellites, why they spend so much time looking back at the Earth, and how you can hone your skills to spot them from the ground!

Weekly stargazing highlights covered at the beginning of the program.
