Watch Party: Saturn-Venus Conjunction

  • Michael Northey Park (map)

Just after sunset on January 22nd, Saturn and Venus will pass less than half a degree apart from each other, an event known as a conjunction, in which they’ll be visible together when viewed through a telescope! Join Standley Lake Stargazing for an evening watch party to view this incredible event through our telescopes, and you’re invited to bring your own binoculars or telescope if you’d like.

Saturn and Venus will set shortly after sunset, so we’ll have a narrow viewing window. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early to get situated!

Event will be held on the basketball court at Michael Northey Park and starts Sunday, January 22nd at 4:30 PM, viewing begins just after 5:00 PM.
