Summer is here, and that means warm nights graced with the faint glow of the Milky Way and its treasure trove of nebulae, clusters and vast expanses of starscapes. Join Standley Lake Stargazing this week for an introduction to observing the best of the summer Milky Way with the naked eye, binoculars, and telescopes. We’ll also cover some tips for getting started with smartphone astrophotography!

Cosmic Conversations is presented by the Standley Lake Library and Standley Lake Stargazing. All summer long, Cosmic Conversations cover a wide range of topics related to spaceflight and astronomy. Additionally Standley Lake Stargazing independently hosts live-streamed educational programs Thursdays throughout the year.
