In 2021 NASA’s Perseverance rover began collecting high-value samples from the Martian surface and storing them for recovery and return to Earth on a future, yet-to-be-determined mission. Fast forward to 2025 and the status of a possible return mission is uncertain, even as other nations formulate plans to return Martian samples of their own. Join Standley Lake Stargazing for a discussion on the status and possibilities for a sample return mission.
